Register NowIf you wish, you can upload documents into LO so that you can easily access them in surgery. Most people use this for registration documents so that if they’re in a surgery when a prospective employer requests them, they can log in and email them over via LO.
If you choose to create a profile for practices to view, you can also add your registration documents to this if you like, so practices can download these themselves.
Once you’ve entered your bookings in your diary, it can be a good idea to send confirmation to the practice. This ensures that everyone’s on the same page and you won’t turn up to find them not expecting you or fail to turn up when they are.
It’s a good opportunity to send over your terms of bookings too. These avoid disputes further down the line and should at least cover you for cancellation at short notice by the practice. Using Locum Organiser, you can easily generate a list of all future bookings for a practice and email over with your terms and conditions attached.
OK, it’s a simple thing, but as a locum you’re never on your own computer, so all those links to guidelines, risk calculators, patient information etc won’t necessarily be to hand.
But if you store them in LO, they will.
We have a useful ‘starter pack’, of links from our friends at the Hot Topics course which you can customise to suite. There’s also an option which means you don’t need to log in to see your bookmarks (they’re not usually personal info) so you can leave the screen open the whole day and your bookmarks will be there if you need them.
